Support
Help with your account, your data, and anything that isn’t working.
Happ turns the things you’d scroll past into plans you actually make. If something is broken, confusing, or not behaving the way this page says it should, we want to hear about it — a report from you is the fastest way it gets fixed.
The quickest way to reach us is inside the app: shake your phone from any screen to open a report. Your app version and device are attached automatically, which usually saves a whole round of back-and-forth.
Get in touch
From inside the app
- Shake your phone on any screen — this opens the report form directly. You can describe the problem and attach a screenshot.
- Or go to your profile → “Report issue / Suggest improvement.”
Both doors reach the same place, and both work for bug reports and for ideas.

We’re a small team and we read everything. Expect a reply within a few business days; safety reports are looked at first.
Safety — reporting people and content
If someone is behaving badly, or you see content that shouldn’t be on Happ, report it. Press and hold an event, comment, message, or profile to bring up the menu, then choose Report. You can give a reason; it helps.
Blocking is separate and immediate — you don’t need us to act first, and the person is not told. You can see and undo everyone you’ve blocked or muted in Settings → Blocked & muted accounts.
If you believe someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then tell us at support@happtheapp.com so we can act on the account.
Your account
Signing in
Happ uses Google or Apple to sign in — there is no Happ password to lose. If you used Apple’s “Hide My Email,” your account is tied to the private relay address Apple gave us, so sign in with the same Apple ID to get back to it.
Your phone number
Adding a phone number is optional, and nothing in Happ requires one. Its only job is matching: it lets friends who already have your number find you, and it delivers any invitation someone already sent to that number. It is never shown on your profile and never used for marketing. You can remove it in the app at any time, which deletes it.
Contacts
Letting Happ check your contacts is optional and only happens when you tap something that asks. Your address book stays on your device — we check phone numbers for matches and discard them immediately, and we never store a copy of your contacts. You can turn the permission off at any time in your device’s Settings, which stops all contact checking straight away.
Notifications
Turn push notifications on or off in your device’s Settings under Happ. We use them for things you’d expect — invitations, changes to events you’re going to, and coordination updates.
Hiding your account
If you want a break without losing anything, Settings → Hide account stops you appearing to other people. It’s reversible — you can un-hide yourself whenever you like.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, in the app: Settings → Delete account. Deleting removes your identity — your sign-in is destroyed, and your name, photo, handle, bio, and phone number are erased. Things that are part of other people’s history, like a comment in a shared thread or the fact that an event happened, remain, but they are no longer connected to you or to any name.
If you can’t get into the app to do it, email privacy@happtheapp.com and we’ll process the request for you.
You were invited but haven’t joined
If someone invited you from their contacts, we hold your phone number only so that invitation can be waiting for you if you join. It expires on its own, and the person who invited you can withdraw it. If you’d like it removed sooner, email privacy@happtheapp.com and we’ll delete it.
Common problems
An event shows the wrong time
Events display in the time zone the host set for the event, not your phone’s. If a time still looks wrong, report it from inside the app (shake your phone) — include the event name, and we’ll take a look.
I’m not getting notifications
Check your device Settings → Happ → Notifications first, then check that you’re not in a focus or do-not-disturb mode. If they’re on and still not arriving, shake your phone to send us a report — the report carries what we need to trace it.
A photo won’t upload
Every photo is checked before it’s stored, so uploads take a moment. If one fails repeatedly, try again on a stronger connection, then report it if it persists.
An invitation link didn’t work
Invitation links open the Happ website, which will point you to the right place. If a link lands somewhere unexpected, send it to support@happtheapp.com and we’ll fix where it points.
Privacy
What we collect, why, and every choice you have is written out in full in our Privacy Policy. The short version: we never sell your personal information, and we never sell or expose data about an individual user.
